January


Why Visit: January marks the beginning of the dry season in Belize. The weather is warm and sunny, with temperatures averaging around 79°F (26°C). This month is perfect for beach lovers and outdoor enthusiasts.

Highlights: Although January is considered high season in Belize, you can expect more travelers but you can also expect sunshine.  This is an excellent time for diving and snorkeling with clear waters and good visibility. 

February

Why Visit: February continues the dry season with ideal weather conditions, making it one of the best months to visit Belize. Expect sunny days and cool breezes.

Highlights: Crowds have died down a little from the Christmas and New Year rush. Celebrate the month of love in Belize beachside. Kids are back in school and it’s the perfect time to enjoy a couples holiday.


March

Why Visit: March offers warm temperatures and minimal rainfall, perfect for exploring Belize’s outdoor attractions. You’ll experience plenty of sunny days and cool breeze in March . This weather opens the doors to all kinds of outdoor adventures.  Days bring calm waters with a light breeze making for  some of the best days to snorkel the Belize Barrier Reef or head inland to enjoy the jungle. 

April

Why Visit: April is the last full month of the dry season, providing plenty of sunshine and warm temperatures.

Highlights: Belize, similar to other Latin American countries, Easter is a big deal. Easter weekend is one of the longest public holidays in country and is an extremely festive and colorful celebration. April is traditionally one of Belize’s warmest and driest months. It’s the perfect time to enjoy the jungle.  By the sea, fishing wise migrating tarpon start come onto the reefs and it’s a good month for permit too. For diving, it’s the start of whale shark season with a chance to spot these gentle giants in the South between the months of April, May and June.


May

Why Visit: May signals the beginning of the transition from the dry to the rainy season, with warmer temperatures and the occasional rain shower.

Highlights: Enjoy the quieter tourist season and lower prices. This is a good time for bird watching as migratory birds return. Also it’s a great time for foodies. Mark your calendars for the Belize Chocolate Festival celebrated in Punta Gorda, and Cashew Festival celebrated in Crooked Tree. On the island you can continue to enjoy fresh seafood. From fresh fish to conch. Conch seasons stay open until June.



June

Why Visit: June marks the start of the rainy season, with increased humidity and rain showers. Despite this, mornings are often clear, making it possible to enjoy outdoor activities.

Highlights: Explore the lush rainforests and waterfalls at their most vibrant. 


July

Why Visit: July continues the rainy season, but the rains often come in short bursts, leaving plenty of time for exploration.

Highlights: –  If there’s one thing the Belize is known for, it’s Lobster Fest. Every year, July marks the start of the lobster harvesting season for the Caribbean Spiny Lobster. With the opening of the season comes plenty of celebrations with an annual event known as Lobster Fest taking place in Placencia, Caye Caulker and Ambergris Caye.

August,  September and October


Why Visit: While these months bring more rain, they also offer quieter times with reduced crowds and better rates. Embrace the lower season to enjoy Belize's beauty without the usual hustle and bustle.

Highlights: September  is a festive month in Belize, with national celebrations and a vibrant atmosphere.  Belize road carnival march takes place early September with Independence Day festivities on September 21st, celebrating Belize’s independence with parades, fireworks, and cultural events. 


November 

Why Visit: November marks the beginning of the dry season, bringing back sunny and pleasant weather.

Highlights: The Garifuna Settlement Day on November 19th celebrates the arrival of the Garifuna people with traditional music, dance, and food. This month is perfect for diving, snorkeling, and visiting the Maya sites.
