Snorkeling


Below the surface, Belize is a mecca for snorkeling with its superior underwater scene. The Belize Barrier Reef is less than a mile from Ambergris Caye’s shores . The reef is protected by reserves and sanctuaries, making for a vibrant underwater world. With roughly 100 coral species, 500 species of fish, there is so much to see. When on the island spend your time snorkeling top sites such as Hol Chan Marine Reserve and Mexico Rocks. 


Diving


Belize is a unique dive destination with the Belize Barrier Reef being the second largest reef system in the world. An international icon and Belize’s most famous dive site, the Blue Hole is undisputedly a must-see for divers planning a trip to Belize . The giant marine sinkhole lies near the center of Lighthouse Reef and is the world’s largest natural formation of its kind. Getting to Ambergris Caye 

SunBreeze Hotel and Sunbreeze Suites are located right at the north edge of the San Pedro Town on Ambergris Caye. Roughly 36 miles from Belize City, the easiest way to get to the island is by flight or ferry. Flight time from the Belize International Airport is 17 minutes, whilst a ferry is roughly a hour and a half from Belize City. Once on the island you can walk to most places or add in a cart rental into your island stay.
